As the first week of COP30 concludes, the venue has been marked by a busy and productive series of engagements. From high-level negotiations to technical discussions and stakeholder events, Parties and observers have worked steadily to advance collective climate ambition. The progress made this week reflects the continued commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and multilateral action as preparations begin for an equally critical second week.
Negotiations
Global cooperation – with governments delivering on the UN Paris Agreement – is the only way to avert climate catastrophe, strengthen resilience, and spread the vast benefits of climate action. UN Climate Change works to facilitate global negotiations by providing platform for countries to collaborate, share perspectives, and reach consensus on ambitious actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change.

Finding Climate Solutions
