"Money talks, and as we enter the second quarter of this century, it's saying loud and clear: there's no stopping the clean energy juggernaut, and the vast benefits it brings: stronger growth, more jobs, less pollution and inflation, cheaper and cleaner energy. The list of benefits goes on."

~ Simon Stiell, UN Climate Change Executive Secretary

Facilitating Consultation and Negotiations

Global cooperation – with governments delivering on the UN Paris Agreement – is the only way to avert climate catastrophe, strengthen resilience, and spread the vast benefits of climate action. UN Climate Change works to facilitate global negotiations by providing platform for countries to collaborate, share perspectives, and reach consensus on ambitious actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change.

Finding Climate Solutions

While the central focus of all UN climate COPs are the formal negotiations, the COP also serves as a space for people to share ideas and contribute towards finding climate solutions. Through side events, meetings spaces, and informal activities, critical work takes place at COP to build momentum for informed and inspired climate action globally.
